Emma Stone Make-up

I have had a lot of comments recently that I have a resemblance of the lovely Emma Stone which is a major compliment to me but errrrm sorry Emma. This gave me the inspiration to try and imitate her make-up style.

Here is what I used (in the order I used them):

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in the shade Light Porcelain with the yellow brush
Rimmel Stay Matte powder
Collection brown eyebrow pencil
Sleek blusher in Rose Gold with a collection blusher brush
MAC eye liner pencil for the bottom inner of the eye
MUA eye shadow kit (the middle and left shade)
Eyelash curlers to lightly curl
Maybelline Lash Sensational in Black
Collection black liquid liner
Loreal lipstick 229

Here is the finished result and my best Emma Stone pose. I'm not sure if this a recent picture of her but I just really liked her make-up in it, especially that lip.

Emma Stone Red Hair

And the not so Emma poses:

I stared with Rimmel foundation as a base using a blusher brush to apply it. I then set the foundation with a Rimmel powder. Next I used a eyebrow pencil to try and imitate the shape of Emma's eyebrows, she has more of an arch than I do. I lightly applied a rose gold blusher, lined the inner bottom of my eye with a black mac eye liner and curled my eye lashes. I applied a little bit of shimmer to my eyelids using the middle colour of the pallet in the inner corner of my eyelid and the left colour in the outer blending them both together. A coat of lash sensational on the lashes and a coat of lipstick in a redy orange which finished the look.

Boots Haul

I was in need of a few make-up bits and bobs so I popped into Boots. Here is what I picked up in my mini Boots haul.

I was after a peachy blusher as I don't own one, I am very excited to try out this one and it comes with its very own brush. It looks more pink in the picture but in real life it has an orange pigment, it is the shade blush peach and cost £6.99.

The Loreal products were on a three for two so I thought I would get a lipstick but in a colour I haven't got. I knew exactly what  I wanted, I was looking for a redy orange colour. After a good 15 minutes of trying all of the testers and getting annoyed with myself as I couldn't find one, I randomly picked this one up which cost £6.99. I essentially got it for free with the offer, it didn't have a tester with it so it was a surprise. I tried it when I got out of the shop and it was exactly what I was looking for. I can see myself wearing this a lot in the summer.

I have had the same foundation for quite a while, I liked the sound of this one so I shall see how my dry skin likes it. It was £7.99 in the colour cameo, Maybelline have a buy one get one half price offer on at the minute.

This nail varnish is so pretty, it is called pink party dress by Maybelline. It was £2.99 but was basically 1.50 with the offer. I love it and because it isn't a thick consistency so you can use the glitter over an alternative colour or as a bit of nail art.

I was in need of a new mascara and this one by Loreal the volume million lashes was new out so I thought I would try it. I liked the look of the brush so hopefully it will be a good one.

March Favourites

Hello, I am finally getting the chance to sit down and write about my March favourites. It mainly seems to have a hair theme, I fancied a change to my locks so most of my favourites are related to this. I am in need of a good hair mask however so if anyone has any recommendations I am more than happy to hear them.

I have been really enjoying this little palette from MUA, the matte colours are so pigmented and there's some nice neutral tones in there for the daytime. The blue terrifies me slightly but I may be brave enough to try it one day.

This lip crayon is by Kiko but the writing has kinda rubbed off on it. I can't remember the shade as I have had it a little while but I love it so much. I am going to have to order another one or go to their London store. The consistency is really creamy and the colour stays put for such a long time. I have been putting it on in the morning and it literally stays there all day.

So last month I took the pretty drastic decision to go ombre. I have been ombre before and absolutely loved it. The upkeep isn't as stressful as highlights or a full different colour. I went for the Loreal ombre kit which comes with a handy little brush. I did need a little bit of help but I am completely happy with how my hair has turned out and it has just blended really well without needing another colour. If your thinking of going ombre I definitely recommend this kit.

Related to the last item I felt as though my ombre colour went a bit orangey after a couple of days so I invested in this John Frieda tone correcting shampoo and conditioner. This stuff is incredible, my hair looked so much blonder. The bright purple colour is quite scary but it doesn't make your hair purple I promise. I love my hair even more now and it is really inexpensive.

For the last few weeks I have noticed that my teeth have started to look a little yellow. I got this toothpaste which only cost £2 and it has honestly worked wonders. I have noticed a difference within a week.

After washing my hair, just before I blow dry it I have been using the V05 Plump it up lotion which works incredibly well. It makes my hair look so much thicker and bouncier. Love this.

I loved these little guys last month and am very sad that mini eggs are now gone forever...well until January. Its safe to say I made the most of them while they were here. Easter just would not be the same without them.

Jack Wills Outlet

I thought I would share this little gem I discovered, I have never really been a Jack Wills kind of girl but after going in the shop for someone else I actually found some cute little items. Even better they have an outlet website where the clothes are a lot cheaper and they have some bargains. I thought I would pick out a few of my faves..then after I have written this post go and purchase them.

HAMPSFELL TEA DRESSHAMPSFELL TEA DRESS
This is the cutest tea dress, it is called the Hampsfell tea dress and originally cost £79.50. It is now £24...what a bargain! It would be perfect for spring time or an ideal holiday dress for the evening.

TINSBURY CREW
I am mainly crushing on the colour of this Tinsbury crew jumper. I would probably wear it with a peter pan collared shirt. It was £59.50 and is now £34.

ALBURGH SKIRTALBURGH SKIRT
I rarely wear black but this is such a wardrobe staple. This Alburgh skirt was £59.50 and is now only £16. It could be worn so many different ways, in the daytime with flats and a t-shirt or in the evening with high heels and a chiffon shirt.

CHILLWORTH VISCOSE CREPE SLOUCHY PANT
These Chillworth Viscose Crepe Slouchy trousers look so comfortable, I know I would live in these if I owned them. They were originally £69.50 now and now cost £24. A good choice if you were going on an aeroplane.

ELHAM PLAYSUIT
I really like this playsuit, it creates an ideal smart work outfit but would work just as well if you were going out for lunch. Add some heels and your ready for a night out. The Elham Playsuit is super versatile and is reduced to £24 from £79.50.

HOLECROFT SHIRTHOLECROFT SHIRT
Love love love this shirt. it is just completely me, I would wear it with jeans or a skirt or dungarees. The Holecroft shirt was 49.50 and is now only £14. This may have to be added to my basket immediately.

MILHOLME BIKINI TOPMILHOLME BIKINI TOP
I was so shocked at how little the bikinis cost. I think I'll be purchasing one for my summer hollybobs. This Milholme bikini top is reduced to £4 from £29.50 and the bottoms reduced to £5 from £19.50. That's £9 for this bikini instead of £49 (I'm so good at maths) Such a big saving for this cute bikini.

I think its the hooded tops and t-shirt plastered with Jack Wills on them that have always put me off this brand as that just isn't my style but they genuinely have some really cute things. I'm off to shop now byeeeeeee.

Denim Pinafore Dress

I have recently been loving pinafore dresses, they have gotten me through winter with tights and a cosy cardigan. I thought I would make my own version, it's a denim one which will be perfect for spring time. I have put my own little floral twist on it. I am very happy with how it has turned out.

This was really simple to make, I added two pockets and finished the edges with bias binding.

I made this floral bias binding to match the trim on the pockets using a binding tool.

I thought it would be a cool idea to sew the pocket on the wrong side to make it stand out. I added a floral trim to add individuality.

I can see myself wearing this a lot, I can't wait for the weather to warm up just so I can wear this.
